The Opéra Orchestre national Montpellier Occitanie aims to bring music closer to the public through various initiatives.
These include public performances of opera, orchestra, and chamber music as well as outreach activities and mucial events in nurseries, hospitals, care homes, and the entire amateur practice program, including Opéra Junior.
Through these initiatives, the Opéra Orchestre strives to expand and diversify its audience while upholding the values of accessibility and excellence. By joining the dedicated group of patrons « Maestro Circle », you help make culture more accessible to those who are distant due to geographical, social, or health barriers, contributing to our mission : music belongs to everyone !
The 2024-2025 season of the Opéra Orchestre is set to be outstanding. Notably, it will see the arrival of the new Music Director, Roderick Cox, underscoring a commitment to excellence, innovation, and youth.
Sustaining our cultural heritage : The Opera Orchestre’s Fundraising Challenge
Given the current economic landscape, cultural institutions need to diversify their funding sources.
